Dr. Karol Mark Yee, EDCOM 2’s Executive Director, emphasized the critical role of these partnerships in achieving the commission’s goals. “The collective expertise and resources of these organizations are pivotal to our three-year mission to enhance the quality of our education system,” he stated.

Senator Win Gatchalian, EDCOM 2 Co-Chairperson, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the shared responsibility in pursuing education reforms. “We anticipate a fruitful collaboration that will culminate in groundbreaking education policies,” he remarked.

Witnessing the event were notable figures including Senator Gatchalian, Representatives Roman Romulo and Mark Go, and Commissioners Representative Kiko Benitez and Senator Sonny Angara.

Innovative Initiatives and Workshops

The Metrobank Foundation plans to leverage its network of distinguished educators from the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos program to support EDCOM 2’s initiatives. “Our network will provide insights to bolster education standards and address the learning crisis,” said Metrobank Foundation President Aniceto M SobrepeƱa.

TAF will collaborate on workshops focusing on decentralization and participatory governance. “We aim to facilitate better education outcomes through our joint research efforts,” TAF Country Representative Sam Chittick explained.

Multimedia Storytelling with DLS-CSB

DLS-CSB will contribute by producing multimedia projects that narrate the experiences of teachers and students. “We’re committed to sharing these stories to illuminate the educational challenges in the Philippines,” stated DLS-CSB Chancellor Benhur Ong.

Dr. Yee concluded by thanking the partners for their dedication to improving Philippine education. “Your commitment reflects a continued hope in our education system,” he affirmed.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards addressing the educational needs of the Philippines, with each partner bringing unique strengths to the table in a united effort to uplift the nation’s education landscape.
