GSIS Urges Pensioners to ‘APIR’ Before Holy Week to Ensure Uninterrupted Pension
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has issued a reminder to its pensioners to complete their Annual Pensioners’ Information Revalidation (APIR) before the start of Holy Week.
The message, “Bago mag Semana Santa, mag APIR na para ang pension hindi mag disappear,” translates to “Before Holy Week, complete your APIR so your pension doesn’t disappear.” This is part of GSIS’s efforts to ensure that all pensioners receive their benefits without interruption.
The APIR requires pensioners to personally appear at any GSIS office or GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System (GWAPS) kiosk to confirm their continued eligibility for pension benefits. This process helps the GSIS maintain accurate records and prevent fraudulent claims.
GSIS emphasized the importance of completing the APIR before the start of Holy Week, a significant religious observance in the Philippines when most offices, including GSIS, are closed.
Pensioners who fail to complete their APIR on time may experience delays in receiving their pension. GSIS assures its members that those who comply with the APIR will continue to receive their pensions as scheduled.
GSIS encourages all pensioners to heed this reminder and complete their APIR at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted receipt of their pension benefits.
