DepEd Announces Asynchronous Classes on April 15-16, 2024
In a recent advisory, the Department of Education (DepEd) of the Philippines has announced that all public schools across the nation will implement asynchronous classes/distance learning on April 15-16, 2024. This decision has been made to provide learners with ample time to complete their pending assignments, projects, and other requirements as the end of the school year approaches.
During these dates, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools are not required to report to their respective stations. However, activities organized by Regional and Schools Division Offices, such as Regional Athletic Association Meets and other division or school level programs, may continue as scheduled.
The advisory also notes that private schools are not covered by this directive but have the option to implement similar measures. The DepEd has expressed gratitude for the cooperation and has confirmed that the official memorandum has been distributed to the regional and schools division offices.
Parents, students, and school staff are advised to stay informed through official DepEd channels for any further updates.
