DOH Issues Warning Against Fake Facebook Page

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a public advisory warning against a fake Facebook page that is maliciously using the agency’s photos and other official content. The DOH clarified that it does not own this account and has no affiliation with it.

The fake page has been posing as the official DOH page, misleading the public by sharing unauthorized posts. The DOH has expressed its concern over the potential spread of misinformation through this fake account.

The DOH further stated that if the related posts persist, criminal charges may be pressed against those responsible. The department continues to urge the public to source information only from legitimate sources and platforms.

The DOH emphasized the importance of relying on official platforms for accurate and reliable information. The public can access the official DOH platforms through the links and social media handles provided by the department.

The DOH reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that accurate information is disseminated to the public.
