NGCP Announces Possible Power Interruptions in Luzon and Visayas Today
April 16, 2024 - The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is warning of possible Manual Load Dropping (MLD) in several areas of Luzon and Visayas today, April 16th, to maintain the integrity of the power grid.
Affected Areas and Schedule:
- Luzon (8:00 PM - 9:00 PM):
- Abra (entire province) - ABRECO
- Isabela (partial areas) - ISELCO 1
- Batangas (partial areas) - BATELEC I & II
- Visayas (8:00 PM - 9:00 PM):
- Negros Occidental (partial areas) - CENECO, NOCECO, NONECO
- Negros Oriental (partial areas) - NORECO I & II
- Southern Leyte - SOLECO
- Leyte (partial areas) - LEYECO II & V
- Samar (partial areas) - SAMELCO II, ESAMELCO, NORSAMELCO
- Bohol (partial areas) - BOHECO I & II
- Cebu (partial areas) - VECO, MECO, CEBECO I, II, & III
- Iloilo (partial areas) - MORE, ILECO 2 & 3
- Other provinces (partial areas): Antique (ANTECO), Capiz (CAPELCO), Aklan (AKELCO), Guimaras (GUIMELCO)
Important Notes:
- The scheduled power interruptions may be cancelled if the power demand decreases or the grid condition improves.
- NGCP encourages everyone to conserve electricity during this time.
