June 19, 2024 - LANDBANK is warning the public against a scam circulating online that promises Eid-al Adha cash gifts. The scam involves a message claiming to be from LANDBANK offering cash gifts to celebrate the Muslim holiday.
The message typically includes a link that, when clicked, directs the user to a fake website that looks like the LANDBANK website. The fake website then asks the user to enter personal information, such as their name, address, and bank account details. This information can then be used to steal money from the victim's account.
How to Protect Yourself:
- Do not click on any links in suspicious emails or messages.
- Only visit LANDBANK's official website at https://www.landbank.com/.
- Never enter your personal information on a website that you are not sure of.
- Be wary of messages that promise you something that sounds too good to be true.
- If you are unsure about the authenticity of a message, contact LANDBANK Customer Care at (02) 8-405-7000 or 1-800-10-405-7000 (PLDT Domestic Toll-Free Number) or email reportphishing@landbank.com.
LANDBANK does not offer cash gifts or scholarships through unofficial channels. The only way to receive a cash gift or scholarship from LANDBANK is to apply through an official LANDBANK program. You can find a list of all LANDBANK programs on the LANDBANK website.
