Need to Update Learner Enrollment Status After Finalization? DepEd Offers a Solution!

This blog post is for all DepEd School Heads and School Representative Admin users who may encounter situations where learner enrollment information needs to be updated even after the class has been finalized.

What is Finalization?

Finalization in DepEd's Learner Information System (LIS) refers to the locking of a class's enrollment data at the end of the school year. This ensures data integrity and accuracy for reporting purposes.

But What if Updates are Needed?

There may be instances where you discover errors or require adjustments to learner enrollment details after finalizing a class. Don't worry! You can still make these changes as long as the entire school hasn't been finalized yet.

How to Request Reversion

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to request a reversion for a finalized class:

1. Who Can Request?

  • Schools Division Offices (SDOs)
  • Private Schools

2. Where to Request?

The request for reversion goes through the Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS).

3. The Process:

  • The SDO or Private School submits an online request for reversion through EBEIS.
  • The DepEd's Policy, Planning, and Research Division (PPRD) receives and reviews the request.
    • If the reason for reversion is valid, the PPRD approves the request and processes it through EBEIS.
    • If the reason is not valid, the PPRD disapproves the request and informs the SDO/School via email.
  • The PPRD informs the requesting party (SDO/School) about the approval/disapproval decision through email.
  • The PPRD keeps a hard copy of the request for reference purposes.

4. Processing Time:

The entire process typically takes around 45 minutes, with a breakdown of:

  • SDO request submission: 25 minutes
  • PPRD review and processing: 15 minutes (5 minutes for review and 10 minutes for processing/communication)
  • Printing for reference: 5 minutes

5. Important Note:

There are no fees associated with this request.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your learner enrollment data remains accurate and up-to-date.
