Number Coding Suspended for Independence Day

The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day. This is a regular holiday, and traffic is expected to increase in Metro Manila due to the festivities.

Celebrations at Quirino Grandstand and Rizal Park

The government invites the public to participate in the activities prepared for this celebration at the Quirino Grandstand and Rizal Park in Manila. The festivities will begin today, June 10, and will run until June 12, Independence Day. Some of the activities include:

  • Flag raising ceremony
  • Wreath laying ceremony
  • Civic-Military Parade
  • Cultural performances
  • Fireworks display
