July 07, 2024 - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), led by Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, complied with the Office of the President's directive by reciting the Bagong Pilipinas hymn and pledge during its flag-raising ceremony on July 1, 2024, at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.
The ceremony also served as a platform for Secretary Laguesma to express his gratitude to all participants involved in the recently concluded National Employment Summit (NES) held in Manila for two days. Organized by DOLE in partnership with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), the NES aimed to develop a 10-year national employment masterplan which was presented to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on June 27.
