LTO Urges Motorists to Use "Aksyon on the Spot" for Claiming Plastic-Printed Driver’s Licenses

July 13, 2024 - In an effort to streamline driver’s license issuance, Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, has encouraged motorists to utilize the new "Aksyon on the Spot 0929290865" platform for faster processing.

Assec Mendoza emphasized that individuals who have yet to claim their plastic-printed driver’s licenses can expedite the process by scanning or photographing their paper-printed licenses and submitting them via Viber to the aforementioned platform.

"We will promptly print their driver’s licenses at our Central Office and provide an option for delivery through accredited courier services," stated Assec Mendoza.

According to LTO data, only 5% of affected motorists have not yet claimed their plastic-printed licenses, prompting Assec Mendoza to appeal directly to them.

Under the leadership of Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, and with Assec Mendoza at the helm, the LTO has successfully addressed the longstanding backlog of paper-printed licenses.

Assec Mendoza reiterated that motorists should not settle for paper licenses anymore, asserting, "We have ensured ample supply of plastic cards across all licensing offices nationwide. Everyone should have their plastic-printed driver’s license now that the backlog has been resolved."

This initiative marks a significant milestone in LTO’s efforts to modernize and improve service delivery for motorists nationwide.
