Attention DepEd Teachers: Extended Deadline for CPD Requirements in PIC Renewal!
Good news, DepEd teachers! The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has issued Resolution No. 1773 Series of 2024, granting an extension on the acceptance of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Undertaking for your Professional Identification Card (PIC) renewal until December 31, 2024.
What does this mean for you?
If you haven't completed the required CPD units for your upcoming PIC renewal, you can still opt for the CPD Undertaking. This option allows you to:
- Submit an Undertaking stating your commitment to fulfill the remaining CPD units (number to be confirmed) in your next PIC renewal period.
- Complete the required number of CPD units (number to be confirmed) for the current renewal period.
This temporary measure recognizes the concerns raised by teachers regarding CPD compliance and aims to ease the transition period following the lifting of the COVID-19 state of public health emergency.
Important Reminders:
- This extension is only valid until December 31, 2024.
- The exact number of CPD units required for both the undertaking and current renewal might vary depending on your specialization and chosen mode of renewal. Please refer to the DepEd website or contact your designated PRC Regional Office for accurate details.
- You can access the Application for Renewal of Professional Identification Card (PIC) and any relevant forms directly from the PRC website or through your DepEd division/regional office.
