Zamboanga City to Host the 67th Annual National Council Meeting of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines

Zamboanga City, March 22, 2024 – The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is set to hold its 67th Annual National Council Meeting (ANCM) from May 15 to 17, 2024, at the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City. This significant event is organized in accordance with DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2013, and serves as a platform for key discussions and decision-making among the leaders of the BSP.

The ANCM will focus on several critical objectives, including the reception of reports from the National President and the National Treasurer, the election of four regular members to the National Executive Board, and the ratification of any proposed amendments to the BSP By-laws. Additionally, the meeting will feature the National Court of Honor and various awarding ceremonies.

Highlighting the event will be the Awarding Ceremonies, which will honor the contributions of Scoutmasters, as well as outstanding Local Council and Regional Chairpersons and Commissioners. These accolades recognize the dedication and hard work of individuals who have significantly contributed to the BSP’s mission.

The meeting is expected to draw participants from across the nation, including BSP National Executive Board members, Department of Education Regional Directors, Schools Division Superintendents, Local Council Members, and award-receiving teachers. These representatives from the 125 councils of the BSP nationwide will convene to discuss and deliberate on matters crucial to the organization’s future.
