Arcovia City Emerges as Pasig’s New IT Hub
April 3, 2024 - In a landmark move, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has transformed the landscape of Pasig City with the designation of several parcels of land in Ugong as a Special Economic Zone, known as Arcovia City. This initiative, under Proclamation No. 512, aligns with the government’s vision to foster economic growth and innovation.
The proclamation, recommended by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and enacted pursuant to the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, aims to create a hub for technology and business that could propel the Philippines into a new era of digital economy.
Spanning an impressive 123,837 square meters along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, the designated area includes multiple lots, each poised to contribute to the burgeoning IT park’s success. With this strategic development, Arcovia City is set to become a beacon of progress, offering a state-of-the-art environment for businesses and investors alike.
As the nation watches this exciting transformation, the anticipation for Arcovia City’s contribution to the country’s economic and technological advancement is palpable. This development marks a significant step towards realizing the Philippines’ potential as a key player in the global information technology landscape.
