DepEd Emerges as the Most Trusted Government Agency in Q1 2024

The Department of Education (DepEd) has once again proven its credibility and performance by emerging as the most trusted government agency in the Philippines, according to a recent survey conducted by OCTA Research.

The survey, conducted in the first quarter of 2024, revealed that DepEd is trusted by 82 percent of Filipinos. This trust rating is a testament to the department’s consistent efforts in providing quality education and services to the Filipino people.

DepEd’s trust ratings ranged between 74 and 94 percent across major geographical areas. The highest trust rating was recorded in Mindanao at 94 percent, while the lowest was in Metro Manila at 74 percent.

In addition to being the most trusted, DepEd also emerged as the “best-performing” government agency with an impressive 84 percent performance rating. This rating reflects the public’s satisfaction with the department’s performance in fulfilling its mandate.

Other government agencies that received high trust ratings included the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) with a 79 percent trust rating, followed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) with 73 percent, and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) with 71 percent.
