Firefighters Honored at the 8th National Fire Olympics
April 15, 2024 - The Bureau of Fire Protection National Headquarters in Quezon City was abuzz with excitement during the traditional Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony. The event took on a special significance as it also served as the awarding ceremony for the winners of the recently concluded 8th National Fire Olympics, Fire Volunteers Category.
The competition was fierce, with several groups showcasing their skills and dedication to firefighting. The winners were:
Federal Union of the Philippines Volunteer Firefighters and Communication Group, Inc. emerged as the Champion in the Blazing Showdown category.
NATCON Confederation of Filipino-Chinese Fire and Rescue Volunteer, Inc. put up a strong performance, securing the 2nd Runner-up position in the Tower Blitz, The Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter Challenge, and Blazing Showdown categories. They were also named the Overall 2nd Runner-up.
Association of Volunteer Fire Chiefs and Firefighters of the Philippines clinched the 1st Runner-up spot in both the Tower Blitz and The Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter Challenge categories, earning them the title of Overall 1st Runner-up.
The Association of Philippine Volunteer Fire Brigades, Inc. proved their mettle by becoming the Champion in both the Tower Blitz and The Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter Challenge categories. They also secured the 1st Runner-up position in the Blazing Showdown category. Their consistent performance across all categories earned them the prestigious title of Overall Champion.
