PH Air Force Pilots to Undergo Training in Australia

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is set to send its pilots for extensive training in Australia in July 2024. This significant move is part of the PAF’s ongoing efforts to enhance the skills and capabilities of its pilots.


Col. Consuelo Castillo, PAF Public Affairs chief, announced that the training exercise, dubbed Pitch Black 24 (PBK24), will be conducted at the Royal Air Force Base in Darwin from July 12 to August 2.

Pitch Black 24 is a major Australian and international military exercise incorporating a wide range of tactical flying activities across northern Australia. The exercise will involve aircraft operating from Darwin and Tindal.

The PAF’s participation in this exercise is expected to provide its pilots with invaluable experience and knowledge, enhancing their ability to perform in various operational scenarios.
