Tragic Flooding in UAE Claims Lives of Three Filipino Workers

In a heartbreaking turn of events, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has reported the deaths of three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) due to the recent severe flooding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The victims, two females and one male, tragically lost their lives in separate incidents during the disaster.

The two female victims succumbed to suffocation inside their vehicle amidst the floodwaters. The male victim met a fatal end due to significant injuries sustained when his vehicle fell into a sinkhole during the height of the flooding.

DMW Officer-in-Charge Hans Leo J. Cacdac, along with the entire DMW family, has extended their deepest condolences and sympathies to the families and relatives of the departed OFWs.

In these trying times, the DMW has assured the bereaved families of its unwavering support and assistance. The DMW’s Migrant Workers Offices and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are working in close coordination to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the three OFWs.
