The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) is committed to safeguarding the personal information of student-applicants for the Senior High School Voucher Program. For the Senior High School Voucher Program Applications, the PEAC collects a range of information from student-applicants. This includes:
- Full name
- Birth date
- Personal email address
- Mobile/landline number
- Information about the student’s parents/guardians
- Family socio-economic conditions
- Junior high School
- Pertinent supporting documents
Use of Collected Data
The collected personal information is utilized solely for documentation and processing purposes within the PEAC. It will be shared with the Department of Education for decision-making and with Senior High School Providers when the student becomes a Qualified Voucher Applicant (QVA). The following QVA information will be made available in a publicly downloadable certificate:
- Declared Learner Reference Number
- Full name
- Junior High School
- City/Municipality
Protection Measures
PEAC takes the security of personal data seriously. Only authorized PEAC personnel have access to these personal information, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and print outs. The personal data collected will be securely processed and stored in PEAC’s Online Voucher Application Portal for five years. After this period, hard copies shall be disposed of through shredding, while digital files shall be anonymized.
Access and Correction Rights
Every participant has the right to ask for a copy of any personal information that PEAC holds about him/her, as well as to ask for it to be corrected if he/she thinks it is erroneous. To exercise these rights, participants may contact Mr. Butch Evarola at data.privacy@peac.org.ph.
