June 12, 2024 - The Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) has emerged as the top performer among Philippine universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 Impact Rankings. This recognition highlights ADMU's dedication to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ateneo Shines in SDGs
THE's Impact Rankings assess universities based on their contributions to the SDGs. ADMU landed in the 201-300 bracket, showcasing its impressive efforts across various SDGs. The university performed particularly well in areas like clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).
Other Philippine Universities Make Strides
While ADMU claimed the top spot, several other Philippine universities earned recognition in the rankings. De La Salle University, Ifugao State University, and the University of the Philippines all placed in the 601-800 bracket. Additionally, Batangas State University, Mariano Marcos State University, Saint Louis University, and the University of Santo Tomas also achieved rankings within this bracket.
