The Department of Health (DOH), in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd), is urging all public and private schools to participate in the Healthy Learning Institutions Awards (HLIA) 2024.
The deadline for submission of entries is fast approaching, with June 30th marking the final day to submit applications. The HLIA program recognizes BLIs that have successfully implemented comprehensive health promotion programs, fostering a healthy and nurturing environment for students and staff.

The HLIA program is a key initiative under the DOH's "Healthy Pilipinas" agenda, which aims to create a healthier nation by promoting preventive healthcare and wellness across all sectors. - Healthy Teaching and Learning: This category recognizes schools that integrate health promotion strategies into their curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Healthy Students: This area assesses the BLI's efforts in promoting healthy lifestyles among students, such as proper hygiene practices, healthy eating habits, and regular physical activity.
- Healthy Staff: This category acknowledges the school's initiatives in promoting the well-being of its faculty and staff.
