Teachers Seek Clarification on Delayed Performance Bonus for FY 2021

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) has requested clarification from the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems (IATF-HMNGRIS) regarding the issuance of a Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021.

According to ACT, the SARO, intended to cover funding for DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel across regions, was reportedly approved and released in May and June of 2024. However, ACT's records indicate that the FY 2021 PBB for teachers was already disbursed in the previous year. This discrepancy has caused confusion among public school teachers, many of whom are now anticipating the release of the PBB for FY 2022.

ACT has also requested updates on the status of the PBB for FY 2022.

The Department of Education (DepEd) and IATF-HMNGRIS have not yet issued a public response to ACT's inquiries.
