The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Learner Support Services - Youth Formation Division (BLSS-YFD), under the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations (OASOPS), is set to host the largest face-to-face engagement of learners, youth leaders, and education stakeholders in the country, the Learners’ Convergence PH (LearnCon PH) 2024.
The event, scheduled from July 8 to July 13, will take place in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. It aims to bring together promising youth leaders from different parts of the Philippines.
Under the theme “#GalingKabataan: Pagsulong Nang May Tatag, Pagtaguyod ng Lipunang Maunlad,” LearnCon PH 2024 is a revamp of the first installment of the Philippine Youth Convergence 2022. It is a component activity of the national sporting event, Palarong Pambansa 2023.
The event will involve learners and education stakeholders from the 228 School Division Offices (SDOs) of the 17 Philippine regions1. The delegation will include representatives from various student organizations and members of the Technical Working Group1.
The opening ceremony of the event will be livestreamed on the official Facebook Page, YouTube channel, and website of DepEd Philippines on July 91.
