July 24, 2024 - Typhoon Carina hasrapidly intensified into a super typhoon, according to the latest 5 p.m. bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 5 p.m. today, July 24, 2024, the eye of the super typhoon was located approximately 380 kilometers north of Itbayat, Batanes. Carina is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning.
PAGASA is closely monitoring the typhoon's movement and strength and will continue to provide updates to the public.
