Civil Service Commission Encourages Filipinos to Explore Job Opportunities Through CSC Job Portal

July 02, 2024 - The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles is calling on Filipinos seeking public sector jobs to explore opportunities through the CSC Job Portal. The portal, accessible at csc.gov.ph/career, provides aspiring government employees with comprehensive information and easy access to a vast array of job openings across various government agencies.

“Government job opportunities continue to grow as there's a constant need for skilled and dedicated employees who can deliver quality public service. The CSC Job Portal serves as a convenient platform to browse vacant positions in different government agencies throughout the Philippines," said Chairperson Nograles.

Unified Platform for Government Job Openings

Following CSC Resolution No. 2000221, a unified system for publishing vacant government positions was implemented on the CSC website in February 2020. National government agencies, local government units, and state universities and colleges are mandated to submit listings of authorized vacant positions (first, second, and third levels) in both electronic and printed formats to their designated CSC Field Office (FO). The electronic copy is then forwarded to the CSC Regional Office for publication on the CSC website, while the printed copy is displayed on the bulletin board of the CSC FO.

Streamlined Job Search with Filters

Job seekers can utilize the job portal's filters by position title, agency name, and region to efficiently search for available positions.

Detailed Job Postings

Beyond the job title and assigned location, each job posting provides details such as salary or job grade, qualification standards (eligibility, education, training, experience, and competencies), required documents, and application instructions.

Applications Directed to Hiring Agencies

Chairperson Nograles reminded applicants that job applications and inquiries should be directed to the concerned agency. He further emphasized the importance of thoroughly reviewing the qualification standards and competencies required for each position, as eligibility alone doesn't guarantee a permanent appointment.

Call to Action for Filipinos

“The government is not just the biggest employer nationwide, it also offers Filipinos the chance to achieve job security. We encourage qualified Filipinos, including fresh graduates, job changers, and civil service eligibles, to join the civil service and contribute to our country's progress," Chairperson Nograles concluded.
