Good News! PSA and DSWD Team Up to Bring National ID Authentication to 4Ps Beneficiaries During FDS

July 07, 2024 - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are making things easier for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries! They're extending a program that allows beneficiaries to get authenticated through their National IDs during Family Development Sessions (FDS).

This is great news for 4Ps beneficiaries because it means:

  • Convenience: No need for separate trips! You can get authenticated during your regular FDS sessions.
  • Faster Processing: Fingerprint scanning makes authentication quick and easy.
  • Security: National ID verification ensures benefits go to the right people.
  • More Benefits: During FDS, you can also register for a National ID and get your ePhilID.

Here's how it works:

  • Attend your regular FDS session.
  • PSA staff will be there to scan your fingerprint and match it with your National ID registry.
  • Each successful authentication counts as attendance to your FDS.

The program has already been a success!

As of June 14, 2024, over 2 million 4Ps beneficiaries have been successfully authenticated through their National IDs. PSA has deployed personnel nationwide, including remote areas, to make sure everyone can participate.

Thinking about getting a National ID?

You can also register for a National ID and get your ePhilID during your FDS session. As of June 21, 2024, millions of Filipinos have already registered for the National ID system, and millions more have received their IDs and ePhilIDs.
