Landbank Warns of Phishing Attempts Imitating iAccess Website

July 22, 2024 - Landbank of the Philippines (Landbank) is urging customers to be vigilant against phishing attempts using a fake iAccess website. The bank has issued a scam alert warning customers about fraudulent websites that mimic the legitimate iAccess online banking platform.

These phishing websites are designed to trick unsuspecting users into entering their personal and financial information, which can then be used for fraudulent purposes. Landbank advises customers to be cautious when accessing any website that claims to be the iAccess platform and to follow these safety measures:

  • Verify the URL: Ensure the website address is spelled correctly and matches the official Landbank website: www.landbank.com. Be wary of URLs with unusual characters or misspellings.

  • Check for the padlock icon: A secure website will display a padlock icon in the address bar, indicating a valid digital certificate.

  • Hover over links: Before clicking on any links, hover your mouse over them to see the actual destination URL. If it appears suspicious, do not click on it.

  • Avoid clicking on links from unknown senders: Do not open links or download attachments from emails or messages from unknown senders.

If you have any questions or have encountered any suspicious activity, report it immediately to Landbank's Customer Care Hotline:

  • Call: (02) 8-405-7000 or 1-800-10-405-7000 (PLDT Domestic Toll-Free Number)
  • Email: reportphishing@landbank.com

Landbank reminds customers to be vigilant and protect themselves from online scams by following these safety guidelines. Remember, the legitimate iAccess website can only be accessed through the official Landbank website or the Landbank Mobile Banking App (MBA) under the "Other Services" section.
