July 14, 2024 - Tennielle Madis, a tennis prodigy from Southern Baptist College, proved once again her prowess on the court by capturing her second consecutive singles title at the 2024 Palarong Pambansa held in Cebu City.
Madis, inspired by her older sister Jazzelle, a current De La Salle University player in the UAAP, displayed unwavering determination and unwavering focus throughout the tournament. Her dedication paid off as she delivered a dominant performance in the championship match, defeating her Western Visayas opponent with a decisive 8-1 score.
"I'm incredibly happy, and I can't even express how I feel right now," Madis exclaimed.
Her journey with tennis began at a young age, with a spark of passion igniting when she was just in Grade 1. A year later, she already found herself competing in the Palarong Pambansa as a Grade 2 student.
With her remarkable achievements, Madis offers words of encouragement to her fellow Palarong Pambansa athletes, "Don't give up on your dreams. Just keep on going."
