July 15, 2024 - Western Visayas continued their dominance in girls' volleyball, while NCR emerged victorious in the boys' division at the Palarong Pambansa 2024 Secondary Volleyball Competition.
Bacolod Tay Tung High School (Western Visayas) secured another gold medal after defeating Far Eastern University-Diliman (NCR) in a thrilling five-set match, 25-15, 18-25, 27-29, 25-22, 15-12.
Meanwhile, National University - Nazareth School (NCR) completed their mission of claiming the gold in the boys' division after edging out De La Salle-Lipa (CALABARZON) in another five-set encounter, 27-29, 25-19, 19-25, 28-26, 16-14.
Herbert Miguel Egger of NU-Nazareth School (NCR) and Rhose Almendralejo of Bacolod Tay Tung High School (Western Visayas) were hailed as Most Valuable Players (MVP) for the boys' and girls' divisions, respectively.
