September 18, 2024 - Several areas across the Philippines have announced class suspensions for Thursday, September 19, 2024, due to the heavy rains and strong winds brought by Tropical Depression #GenerPH and the enhanced southwest monsoon (#habagat).
In the Ilocos Region, the municipality of Rosales in Pangasinan has suspended face-to-face classes for all levels, both public and private.
In Central Luzon, multiple areas in Bulacan and Pampanga have also been affected. Balagtas, Calumpit, and San Rafael in Bulacan have suspended classes for all levels, while Mabalacat City and Santo Tomas in Pampanga have called off face-to-face classes for all students.
On Negros Island, the municipalities of Cauayan and Murcia in Negros Occidental have suspended face-to-face classes for all levels, with Murcia's suspension applying to public schools only.
In Western Visayas, the town of Culasi in Antique has also announced class suspensions for all levels.
Local government units and schools are closely monitoring the weather situation and will provide updates as needed. Residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions.
